Agriculture Scholarship Application

Kolk Farms Ltd. is a cattle, crop and seed-focused agricultural business. As owners and managers, we see the value of having educated, engaged and passionate people working in our industries.


Purpose

To encourage students and young people to purse agriculture as a career, we are offering a scholarship to help with the costs of pursuing a degree or diploma with an agricultural focus.

Value

Up to $2,500 per successful applicant:

​​

$500 for the successful enrolment in an agricultural program

$1,000 upon the successful completion of year one

$1,000 upon the successful completion of year two

Eligibility

To receive this scholarship, you must:

· Be a Canadian Citizen, or a Permanent Resident of Canada

· Be enrolled in a full course load at a university or college working towards a degree or diploma with an agricultural focus. (Note: if selected to receive this scholarship, you will be required to submit proof of enrollment and, when applicable, proof of completion of year one and year two.)

Up to 5 scholarship recipients will be selected each year.

 

Preference will be given to students studying at an Alberta institution.

Deadline to apply

September 1, 2025

Disbursement

Once proof of enrollment/completion has been provided, a cheque or direct deposit will be issued from Kolk Farms Ltd. to the recipient.

Note: Students are not eligible for backpay (i.e. if you are applying after the completion of your second year, you are only eligible for the $1,000 given after completion of year two.)​
