Pivot Irrigation Technician

Full-Time | Day Shift - Monday to Saturday​

Duties can include:

​​

· Inspect, operate, and maintain pivot irrigation systems to ensure proper functionality and water coverage

· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of the pivot systems
· Monitor water usage and adjust irrigation schedules to meet crop requirements and equipment activities during the growing season

· Replace or repair worn parts, such as nozzles, pipes, gearboxes, and electrical components
· Collaborate with the farm manager to coordinate irrigation schedules and adjust to weather or crop needs
· Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and irrigation schedules
· Respond promptly to breakdowns or emergencies to minimize downtime
· Assist in planning and implementing upgrades or new installations of irrigation systems
· Support maintenance and harvest operations as needed.

Qualifications/Skills

· Proven experience with pivot systems in an agricultural setting

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

· Fabricating/ welding skills is an asset
